House of Learning
Learning the way of Jesus to live on His mission
God wants us to love Him with our hearts, souls, strength and minds. To help us flourish in these four areas, we offer several ways to learn and grow outside the normal weekend gatherings. Foundations introduces people to Westside’s history, theology, and Westside Communities. House of Learning offers classes developed help us learn about Jesus’ love, His way, and how we can live lives that reflect these. Westside Internship is a one-year program designed to to mobilize the next generation of leaders to fulfill their Kingdom calling. Right Now Media offers free access to a vast library of resources for Bible study, kids, and more.
welcome to the family
If you are thinking about making Westside your home and want to find out more, or have already made Westside your home and want to connect with us, then this is the first step to finding out who we are, what we do, and how to plug in. It is a great opportunity to meet the staff, and other people who might be new to Westside. We will have a meal together, play some games, and have lots of space to chat, ask questions, and get to know each other. We will talk about the story of Westside, so you can learn about the awesome things God has done, and our vision for the future, and how God is leading us forward. You’ll also learn about how you can get connected and participate in our church family.
We’d love you to come as a family, so please bring your kids of all ages - it’s a family friendly event - just makes sure to let us know how many of you there are! To help us plan well and have enough space, you need to register for Welcome to the Family.
Foundations is a series of classes that will set you up for following Jesus as you Love God, Learn the way of Jesus, and Live on the mission of Jesus. We’ll cover topics that we think are key to being a healthy disciple, and things that make us who we are at Westside. This is an opportunity to go deeper into our DNA, both as Jesus-followers, and as part of the Westside family.
Bible Reading plan
We believe the Scriptures are inspired and authoritative. The Bible is not a rulebook. It’s more than principles for a better life. It’s better than simply a manifesto for the Kingdom of God. The Bible is a story — the meta-narrative of God’s redemptive work in creation. We want to know the Bible well.
